Injection Question??

I had a question...sometimes when i inject into my glute blood pours out after i take the pin out, now i know this is due to the needle traveling through a blood vessle, but in any case its a little disturbing......my question was when this happens do u think there is a possibility some of the gear pours out also??? ive injected before and seen small amounts of the gear come out of the injection spot after the needle was taken out, but is was a very small amount........hopefully someone can give me their take on this situation....i dont particularly want to waste my gear!!

lol, sorry to be answering this as i haven't ever injected anything but...

try pulling your skin off to the side when you insert... after you pull the needle out, let the skin go and the hole will kinda misalign itself so that less fluid comes out... you could also just stretch the skin, I've heard that's quite effective as well.

yeap hes right

thats what people do to try and avoid losing gear and dripping blood. i dont do it though

I have alway hit my thighs and never had any problems with blood. I have also heard that stretching the skin works but I also have not tried

very true ZK but almost impossible if you're giving yourself a glute inj.....as foryour ? Arnold I think the gear loss is negligible if at all.....

are you injecting IM or Sub Q? Either way the blood if it is pouring out is not good! You want a slow absortion rate through tissue not directly into a vein or artery. OMG...Pick a different spot! I have a spot on my stomach that always bruises and bleeds...I know I am hitting a vein, so I avoid that spot.

when you inject it goes deep into muscle so you will not be losing any gear, unless you are using a short needle, you should use a 1.5in needle, whats happening is your going threw a vien, its okay if this happens sometimes just as long as you dont inject iin one, which is very unlikely if the pin is long enough,Howerver if it happens everytime you inject your doing something wrong or you need to pick a new place.

i had the injection shoot out like a fountain...tried to lick it up...but i dont believe much came out...just watch your injections and switch them up

I had that problem when I was injecting too frequently in the glutes. Try some other injection sites. There are many other places to inject.
