Injection Infection?

Did anyone ever get an abcess or celluitis from an injection? If so what drug was it? What treatment was necessary, and how sick were you?

Actually i have that shit on my left ass cheek right now. So far it is swollen as hell and it is four days since it began. It started after i took a shot of test without wiping the vial first.... i think, becuase i used a new needle and swabbed my skin with rubbing alchol first. ANyway doc said that it wasn't ready to be lanced yet, so i'm just on antibiotics

sorry, you had a funy title. do you have an abcess/cellulitis now? if not, just make sure you do like young gunz said and thoroughly clean your skin and the stopper on the multidraw btl, as well as always using clean/sterile syringes and needles. if you do, and your doc just wants to give you oral antibiotics, ask him for a shot of rocephin(or something similar) as it will speed recovery and is worth the cost.

No I don't have one now but I would like to get one. Just joking last year I had a nasty one in my leg from winny. I had thought that I took every precaution as well. I ended up in the hospital for 2 days on IV antibotics, I also had to get my leg cut, the Doctor said that I had an abcess the size of a baseball. Fuck that hurt like hell.
