Ingrown hairs...

If your shave daily or use magic powder or nair to remove hair daily, do you experience ingrown hairs still? I seem to get them 2+ days after but Imostly only get them on my chest hair, and not ab hair.

What I do post abdomen shave is hit the area with rubbing alcohol. Then after that you will want to put lotion on the area.

A lot of people dont believe me on this technique but it works really well. Though this wont get rid of the ingrown hairs around your waste - those ones are a bitch because your pants rub up and against that area.

chest and abs have lots of different directions of hair growth... make sure your razor is following the grain of the hair.

yeah I exfoliate before. Also I know all about the ingrowns near the waste, so I do not remove that hair. It sucks, cause I don't get the nice clean look and feel around there, but its better then those big painful ingrowns. I wonder why I get them only on my chest? hopefully if I remove em daily, that will help. I will try putting alcohol on before.

about the waistline.......just find a pair of boxers that are looser fitting in the waist, that helps. make sure they are higher on your body than the waistline on your pants. it won't rub as much that way.


I shave my abs but not my chest because, like you, i get some bad razor burn and ingrown hairs if I attempt to shave my chest.....its worse there for some odd reason. especially around the upper pec/collarbone area. so i just use a trimmer and keep that shit trimmed pretty well down. it beats the alternative

The problem is anytime I trim or shave my chest in anyway I get ingrowns. How often do you shave your abs? I have found that I can do it the first time, but then after that if I try to shave the next day, it feels like I am slicing through my skin, and is way to painful, and I never can get a smooth shave like the first time. If I wait a week I can, but by this time I have like 1/4 in of growth or more it looks stupid.

I usually shave the abs on a friday.........because well....its the weekend and more likely to be naked for some girly on the weekend than other time during the week.


normally just let that shit grow out during the week ( i can't afford that many razors anyway )

i know what you mean about trying to shave the day after, or the next day because it gives me the worse razor burn and cuts if I attempt that. not a good time.

I bought a trimmer. One of those with 5 settings guards for length. Do you use shaving cream with this when you shave your chest?

dude, what are you thinking ? mach 3 is known for the worst razor bumps and ingrowns ever, it shaves too close to the skin, try pfb bump fighter, the disposable ones, walmart usally carries them,

if you don;t get a close shave you look like a fool in my opinion. And it doesn;t matter for some reason anytime I shave my chest whether it be with a razor or electri razor with a number 3 guard that leaves the hair 1/8 inch I I get at least a few ingrowns. I don;t know what the deal is. Could excess sebum production have something to do with it and thats why some of use only get them in certain places like the chest?

loofa is good for keeping them away for me around the waistline,but I just tweeze them on my chest,not really preventing I suppose

Use a singal blade disposable razor. Definitely dont use mach 3. I was having horrible razor burn/bumps, and this switch cured all my problems.
