In pre-comp...how do you sleep??

Hi to all!

I'm now at 5 weeks out of my competition, and as many of you, my diet now is lowering carbs. However, even though I have the energy to work during day and workout... when night falls I can be like an owl for a couple of hours before I get a decent sleep. I mean... and I know this is no good. How do you manage to get your sleep?? any advice?? :confused:

try adding melatonin... you can get it at any health food store. Try one about 30 minutes before you go to bed. Search for it in the forums there is lots of info about it....
 
hmm.... my experience with it... the press tabs did nothing for me... but the capsles (whatever) that have little bits of it inside and break open, those worked great for me..
 
Have you tried the std OTC diphenhydromine HCl tabs? (e.g. Nytol) Melatonin worked a bit for me for a while but I always got weird dreams for 3 hrs & then spent the rest of the nite staring at the ceiling. I have found the regular sleep-aids to work great. Take them about an hr before you want to go to bed. Don't wake up feeling all groggy or messed in the head like w/ Benedryl or Excedrin PM or any of that stuff.
