Important shipping question

When getting my order shipped, i'm stuck whether i should have it shipped to my real name or a fake name. I say this because if it's fake, i am concerned it may be returned to the sender, and i may not receive my package...

are there any disdvantages of putting on your real name on a package?

no real advantage, if you have to sign for it you're in either way - if the gov. does a CD doesn't matter if it's real/fake name, they'll look for the person at the location....but on the other hand if it's just a drop off you can claim stupid if problem arise. I suggest you get a mail box and put a company name on it, this way you don't have to ship to your own name.

the package won't have to be signed, the main reason i am concerned about fake name is that if the postal worker doesn't recognize the name at the address and then possibly tries to return the package. then i'll lose my order

If you're getting it sent to your home, using a fake name may result in the packaging being sent back to the sender, the usps is fucked up like that. I see at as this, if they want to get you, they'll get you regardless of what name is on the package. Safest thing to do is, like X suggested, is to get a PO BOX.

You still have to show an ID to open it

If you get caught the feds will say "this guy opened the box w/ a fake company name to recieve drugs.'

^^ agreed imo just use real name and cross fingers.

Use your real name. Especially since you don't have to sign for it. If you use a fake name and for some reason get caught you can add another charge to the list.

obviously, you don't have to put your real name on it, that's the first plus and you don't have to use a "fake name" and fear loosing the pack, you can claim that someone sent this to your company by mistake, in the end of the day that looks a LOT better then a FAKE name to your house!

But (assuming you're one of the rare people who have a company of their own) then you involve your company in the situation which I suspect could be rather problematic on its own.

And if you use the company you work for ?

If you get a PO box they will request 2 forms of ID so they will have you when they deliver the pack they will wait for you there or they will simply come knocking at your house with it.There is no safe way really.You cnat open a P.O box with out ID.

Using a fake name is what will get you into serious legal trouble in the United States if in fact you get a controlled delivery. You will do a lot more time in jail for mail fraud than any other charge.

I would avoid P.O.Box... it's very suspect...
