Important Hair Loss Question

I am about to start a cycle of deca and sust. I have read just about EVERY post on this site, and the information about hair loss has been great. One question tho:

From what I saw, DECA + PROPECIA = BAD and TEST +PROPECIA = OK

What do I do if I am using both? Drop the propecia or not? What else should I supplement it with? Already have some hair loss and don't want to lose much more.

I don't understand the problem here. If you are using deca, don't use propecia. Pretty simple. So, if deca gets into your ass cheeks, don't take propecia. I can keep typing this in other ways, but it still comes out the same.

So, if you cycle has deca anywhere in it, save the propecia for later.

Thanks Longhorn. The reason I asked the question is because I am concerned that by not using the propecia, I will have nothing to prevent the extra test. (from the sust) being converted to DHT, also causing increased loss.

It sounds like with the deca in the cycle, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. Do I have that right?

Pretty much. The reason being the propecia doesn't allow the body to convert one of the harsh to hair metabolites of the deca to a kinder, gentler metabolite.

The only thing you can do is topicals, like nizoral and minoxidil, and saw palmetto.

If you are genetically inclined to hair loss (just look at your mother's father), then Test will accelerate the loss..that's why some guys use DECA--to get around the acceleration.

Try topical spironolactone. It is an potent anti-androgen which will bind to the androgen receptor sites in the hair follicles thus blocking androgens (DHT, Testosterone, etc) from binding and causing miniaturization.

In combination with finasteride (proscar, propecia) and minoxidil (rogaine), topical spiro completes a very effective anti-hairloss regimen. But since you cannot use finasteride with deca, you may as well at least use topical spiro to prevent some of the damage which will be done to the hair follicles.

You can get a 5% spiro cream on the net without a prescription, so let me know if you want more information on where to find it...I don't want to break any rules I am not aware of by posting web sites here.

Not true,
NO one in my mothers family is bald, 90% of the males in my father family are bald, and Although im not as bad off as the rest of them, Im 26 and I have somewhat of a receding hairline. And Im guessing by 34-35 ill be completely bald.

Screw the deca. Get Equipose. Dont get me wrong deca is great , but IMO Equipose was better for me!

Don't use Deca at all, forget that it even exist! Solution of stoping Finasteride use for a cycle, which has Deca in it, is no good, much better one is to never use Deca.

J. How long will it take for PROPECIA to work?

PROPECIA begins to block the formation of DHT almost immediately; however, because hair grows slowly, visible results from PROPECIA take some time. In clinical trials, most men began to see the first benefit of PROPECIA - slowing hair loss - as early as 3 months. After 6 months, men may begin to experience regrowth. I tell my patients not to judge the results of PROPECIA for 1 year, because I have had many patients that were not showing much results at 6 months but by 1 year the results were significant. If PROPECIA does not work within 12 months, further treatment is unlikely to be of benefit.

K. How long do I have to take PROPECIA?

You need to take PROPECIA for as long as you want to continue to benefit from use. If you stop taking PROPECIA, you will likely lose any hair you have gained within 12 months of stopping treatment.

As you can see, stopping taking Propecia is counterproductive and use of Deca doesn't justify it.
