Anyways, tonight at work a pregnant woman who works at the pizza place next to our store came in to buy a pack of "smokes", as those who think they're cool call them. Being the born moron that I am, I handed her one of the packs with the picture of the pregnant lady and the big bold print that reads, "SMOKING CAN HARM YOUR BABY." She asked for another pack with a different picture on it for "obvious reasons", so I handed her one warning against lung cancer and we both had a good laugh over the whole thing. People are so awesome sometimes. Just when I start feeling down, humanity goes and throws me a curveball and reminds me that there truly are good people in the world. God bless us everyone. Praise Jesus.

They can see the packs right behind me. She's been coming in since I started working there and I've talked to her before many times and she was always quite kind to me. Hence and therefore, I did not see this coming and was obviously unimpressed. Still, unfortunate as it might be, it's her decision to make ultimately, not mine or anybody else's. As far as I know it isn't illegal.

It's immoral, not illegal. If you don't stand up, then who will? I'd have given her a hard time, and ultimately refused to sell her the cigs. But then again, I'm a somewhat confrontational person, and I've had drawn that line in the sand as much for my own amusement as for moral reasons.

I was thinking about it the whole time but I couldn't think of an appropriate way to broach the subject. On another note, I'm totally not wearing a shirt right now.
