If you are a true Patriot, and want to give back to those that have gave so much. PLEASE , I repeat Please visit the Walter Reed military hospital in DC. It is where all wounded soldiers go to, to start the long road to recovery.

There are soldiers there that have lost more than anyone can ever fathom, and have little to no family to comfort them.

There is no way you can ever imagine how much it means to some of these troops that will be disfigured, and scarred for the rest of their lives, to see in people that their loss was not in vein..

So again I beg of you to visit, write, anything you can to these soldiers. Because belive me, you will never feel better than you will when you see the happiness in their eyes, because of your visit!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, what would be appropriate and or needed gifts to bring to the soldiers. I understand it isn't necessary, but Im sure many would be interested in doing so, and it would help to know what the men would appreciate

Well what they would truly appreciate most is people visiting! I know not everyone can do that, and that is ok. (I cant either, I so wish I could make it up there) but what these guys need most is to see into the eyes of people that appreciate what they have done!!!!! There is no better gift than that.

But if you can not make it there to see them, then Alot of these soldiers were shipped there directly from the battle, so they were not able to get any kind of clothes or anythign like that. So I would assume (just guessing though) but lil things like basball hats, gym shorts, big baggy t-shirts(easy to get off and on) stuff like that! and from personal expereince nothing is better than home made cookies !!!
