make the same mistakes again ?....

Having one of those drunken conversations with a friend and talking shit about getting older and past mistakes and we wondered, if we had to do it all over would we make the same mistakes again ?.

those mistakes made you who you are and brought you to where you are now... sounds like a good idea at first but then...

If you made the same mistakes again you didn't learn from them the first time. Everybody makes mistakes, the right thing is not to repeat it.

Well, if not for my son, I would say if I had it to do over I wouldn't have gotten married at 19. But, saying that would mean I wouldn't have had my son..so.....I suppose my answer's no. There has to be some greater purpose to my miserable marriage

There are a couple key fuckups I've done that I simply couldn't help but rectify given the chance. As for the rest of it, I agree with Saint.

yeah

definately a few things i wouild have done different :D

Agreed. Watch that episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation where Picard dies and he finds Q in the afterlife.

I am happy with the way things turned out for me.....but if I could turn back time.....yes there where a few situations that I would have acted on.

Have I made some REALLY Bad choices in my past.......YES!!

But Live and Learn, I guess.......I have no regrets. :)

well....

I WOULDN'T STEAL SHIT FROM MY HIGH SCHOOL JOB, THAT GOT ME BUSTED. THAT WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE.PARENTS ALL PISSED AND SHIT. NOT GOOD FOR THE FAMILY

i know i made some very bad mistakes when i was much younger...never developed things i should have like a solid confidence foundation, should have eaten better, should have prevented myself from losing my good shape....lots of things...but now i battle back wiser then before so it is all good :D

I would love to go back to age 14 and know everything I do now. I would still track down my wife and marry her but I would do a whole lot of other things differently.

I would have done a few things differently...not necessarily just correct mistakes. Hindsight is 20/20. However, I don't believe in saying past mistakes are what made me who I am today...a bogus excuse to aleviate the conscience in my opinion.

I would love to go back to high school! My parents were right. When you were in HS you always said i can't wait to graduate and now i wish i was back there.

The only regret is that I didn't start seriously training until fairly recently. I wish I was lifting consistently in High School giving me a head start. That and leaving school was a big mistake but I'm going to recitify that.

One of my favorite episodes. I've even mentioned it in other conversations like this one.

Star Trek Next Generation is one of the best TV shows ever.

ive made alot of mistakes. I regret saying and doing alot of things in HighSchool which cost me friendships. But looking back, it was pretty much inevitable. Product of my enviroment so to speak.

I would like a chance to do some things, hell a lot of things over. I have really screwed some things up in my life.:(

You are the bastion of wisdom on this one Saint.

Alot of my mistakes I regret... but they have made me smarter for who I am. Also, they helped to define the character that I have today and the person I am. Without those mistakes I regret, I wouldn't have as quite an interesting life.

Makes you think real hard...

I think things happen for a reason, somethings in life I don't think one can change. One must go with the flow and learn.

I would definitely bang a lot more chicks if I could go back in time. And, I most definitely would have avoided a certain girlfriend. I think we've all had them.

Good question.... yes, there are MANY things that I could've done differently - ESPECIALLY this year past.... but then again, as it was stated before me - then perhaps I wouldn't be where I am today....

I do regret that I got married INSTEAD of finishing college (the ex was very insecure and let me know in no uncertain terms that if I had stayed in school... we would not have ended up together) - PROBLEM SOLVED = GETTING DIVORCED AND GOING BACK TO SCHOOL!

....but if I had done even this differently I would not have had any of my wonderful doofus-ball girls!... the world would be a sad place if they weren't here - TRUST ME on this one!!!

Having said that, no, I don't think I'd change a thing. :D

I'd go back and give younger-me a few swift kicks in the ass. Sometimes mistakes are for the right reasons, other times you know you're wrong long before it's done but you do it anyway. I'd make better mistakes.

I like that ....

There is a lot of wisdom in what you just said.

Many view mistakes as something BAD.... no, it is only bad when YOU DON'T LEARN.

Everybody makes mistakes... but NOT EVERYBODY LEARNS FROM THEM - therein is where the tragedy lies.

I look back on my "mistakes" and laugh....I've done dumb things but nothing that affected my life drastically....just made it more interesting...so nope I wouldn't change a thing!

very few things i would chnage. mistakes have made me what i am today as i have grown. the only mistake i make year in and year out is putting dish soap in the dishwasher and it overflows with soap and water. i did this again yesterday. note to self only use dishwasher soap not liquid soap.

Now I KNOW you have been hangin' around with Ranger!!!:FRlol:

What is it with you big buff dudes that you can NOT figure out how to use common household appliances?

I should talk.... the ex has been out of the house for nearly a year now and I STILL don't know how to use the gas grill, the lawn tractor OR the snow-thrower! hehehehehehheheee

Perhaps I should find me a "BigLittle" boy toy that is a bit "handy"?!

BWAHAHahaoahaohaohahahahhehhahehahehahahaa

So your mistakes brought you to where you are today...Would the avoidance of those mistakes lead you to a better place than you are today.
Yeah you might have a good job and think your happy but is there more to it than just that. Maybe if those mistakes never existed you would be retired and have the greatest sex ever every day. Or could you be dead?
Nobody will ever know.
