Compusa has an obscenely good price on their DVD-R. $20 for a pack of 50. I've used them myself and felt they were pretty good although they were only 2x

RaZor Ramon said:There is really no reason to by an 8x burner or definately no reason to buy a dual layer burner now. The technology is too new. 4x will be the way to go for at least another year. Everyone I've seen has been having mainly bad burns with 8x. If I was buying a new burner I POSSIBLY would buy and 8x but no way would I run out and buy an 8x if I already have a working 4x unless I just wanted to have another burner.

RaZor Ramon said:That's cool. Just burns with good media at 4x and you are good. You'd just been throwing money away on 8x discs anyway IMO. What's the point of burning at 8x if the DVD is skipping like a muthafucka or doesn't play at all?
manny78 said:Well that's my problem: I haven't been able to experience this cause I can't find any 8x DVDs. But I remember when the first 12x CD burner came. They sucked balls too...
RaZor Ramon said:If you want 8x discs you are going to have to buy them online. I don't think big name stores will carry them until they become a little more realiable.
There are several place to go if you really want them. Here's one.
