But whats sad is that my dad kind does talk like that. He has broken english. And he's 60 years old. He has not missed a day of work in 40 years. He has permanent grease/oil/glue stains on his fingers and in his fingernails because of his work.

He doesnt take vacations. He doesnt do anything but eat sleep and work and go to church. And yeah sure you can make fun of him--because he's defensless. Yeah, you would be a real fuckin man if you did that to my dad's face.

Thats my point. And like PolarPixie mentioned, its like if you had a mentally challenged sister who was like 8 years old, and I was just totally ripping on her for being that way and stuff..would you not be pissed off like crazy? think about it

Kak, is there a way you can differentiate between parody of a stereotype and stereotyping itself? Eyepee's posts, though they depended on ethnic humor, did not seem mean-spirited to me, since they didn't attack personalities and usually had a satirical context beyond the immediate language. How are they different in your view from ordinary ethnic humor...or do you object to all ethnic humor?

I'm not advocating here, or at least not strongly. But don't we have to learn to live in the world with a sense of humor about ourselves? If I took offense every time Happy Scrappy tried to get in my pants because he thinks all fags have huge dicks, I'd be very unhappy.

I think Kak is choosing to make a big deal out of this for no other reason that the attention it draws to him. Every thread he's ever posted bears that out. He says something so incredibley arrogant or otherwise self-involved, then gets called on it. Then he turns around and accuses the poster of being a hater and how "you don't know anything about me", in and amongst a slew of LMAOs and LOLs. It's as predictable as sand in the desert.
