I will never understand some people...

Does anyone know why on earth when people watch college football on tv, they HAVE to yell at the game. my dad has been watching the OSU game and every ten minutes he is screaming at the refs, and the coaches, and the players. now hes pissed off becuase they didnt call a face mask, whats the need. i cant understand why people do this, they cant hear you, they would listen to you even if they could, and i know my dad hasnt bet anything on the game, so what gives?

oh and God forbid they pan to Muarice Clarret and talk about him, i think my dad might shoot the tv, if they do that again.

Your dad is a tool.

My dad is too.

Life is like that sometimes.

Think how much more successful he'd be if he used that energy elsewhere. My dad doesn't like when I say that to him. Yours might not either.

I feel the same when I'm trying to watch rugby........theres always some clown shouting / cheering / yelling / jumping up and down.

Yeah I would rather concentrate on the game, same in a movie theatre. People should shut up in the movies, I go there to watch the movie, not miss parts while I talk about the damned thing.

exactly, ive never been one for getting all fired up at games. i went to a high school football game last night to watch my alma mater, and i just sat there focusing on the game, keeping to myself, i would rather take a good look at everything important thats going on, like what kind of formations they run when they are in certain situations, and how their line is blocking, or penetrating, watching the fundamental type stuff, maybe thats the former football player in me. but ive never understood why people have to get all fired up to the point where they stress over something so trivial.

I have some more thoughts on this.

I playedbasketball at a division 1 school. We played some big time teams and big time players, and I played in the NIT too. We playde in some arenas legendary for their crowd noise and presence.

I can honestly tell you I never even noticed. The players don't give a shit about the fans, and when I was on ESPN I never even thought about people watching the game.

Now, I don't watch t often - late season or playoffs opr big games I will tunein. but I am the same way - I'd rather watch the game being played than bark at people who don't give a shit what I am up to.

exactly. i was the same way when i played sports in high school. i could care less about the fans, honestly, im not out their performing for them, i was there for my team, and for me. i never once did anything in a game to try and please some fan who will praise you one second, and in a moments notice when you fouled up, will scream and yell at you.

If and when I ever watch a game, I say nothing. If I see my father watching a game he says nothing.

I know what you arew talking about Liftbig but I can't relate to it.

During UK basketball games...I yell...A LOT.

I do the same thing. But only once every 4 years when the World Cup comes around.

I am really bad, then.
