Ok, I do a lot of working out and running. I want to start using a MP3 player to help things out. Also, my car radio has an input for a device in the front, so a MP3 player could be used in my car extemely easy.
So, what I want to know is, what brands and types do you like? My price range is 100-200 bucks. No more than that. I don't car to have 10000 songs or whatever. I mean, 100 songs would just about do me fine, but 500 is cool too :D. I like sony because I have a vaio and everything else is Sony.
Your input will result in the receiving of Karma ;)

Thanks!!!!
Chris

ipods are sweet

Yea, that's cool, but I was thinking of something with about 1 gig. I saw one by Sony that looked like that. Has anyone tried one of those?

samsung yepps RULE.. surround sound...

also, for a lot of tunes and low price, scan disk is like 140 bucks at best buy for a 1gb..

i'd go with the samsung though (i did)

Hubby has the Ipod Shuffle -- over 100 songs + $99...he loves it..no lcd display & he wears it around his neck...armband is extra but they may send it to you free off apple.com if you bought one...

I got mine at Costco for $79 -- holds about 30 songs, LCD display, armband....it's an RCA Lyra.... I like it -- mostly cuz of the armband & 30 songs is enuf for me at the gym...

Rio Cali, perfect for gym. I drop that thing all the time and it still rules. It's invincible.

I'm on my second Rio Cali...Love it...best story every...I dropped my first one between the weight rack in the gym and it got squished like a pancake. Brought it back to BestBuy because I bought one of those insurance policies and they said "sorry, but this is considered misuse"...lol, Had to try...so I bought another one at $129

i have one of those crappy creative muvo ripoffs, cost about $80 almost 2 years ago and still going strong. that thing has been dropped on the floor, into a cup of water, saturated in sweat, banged around on weights/machines while i was training...poor thing ;)

anyway the moral of the story is that even the el cheapos arent too bad, so i wouldnt worry about getting something too special if its just a little solid state player for the gym. for a harddrive based player when you finally do care about having 10000 songs, well ok, look a little harder before you leap :)

don't forget to buy the carrying case with velcro. That's what i got and can drop a billion times and nothing will happen.

Does anyone have experience with the Samsung YH-820/920?
One particular question I have is: can an armband be used for it. I definately need one to be able to take a little abuse of a bouncing body from running.

I hit you all up with my little load of K. I know it is pathetic, but you're born with what you're born with, so make the best of it :D
