I wanna build a Toy box.

I`m thinking of making it with the wood they sell at Home Depot that looks like the white mela....something that kitchen cabinet shelves are made of. A 6 foot wide and 24 inch high and deep box with a 3 hinged top cover that may or may not overlap the top by a couple of inches so hands would`nt get caught in there.

Any suggestions? The commercial ones available are too small and the biggest one I found really would`nt go in the living room.

They`re not 6 feet long. I have a toy box from Toys R Us but it`s not big enough and bright yellow and blue (even if it were big enough) and I want it for the living room.

I think a white simple design (rectangular box) would look almost like a coffee table on a side wall somewhere.
