Can you imagine bow hunting in this weather? When I used to bow hunt, I would still wait for late November.

The advantages of going early in bow season prior to gun season opening is that the deer are not yet spooked by the incoming hordes firing guns left and right.

The disadvantages of it is that you sweat and the animals can detect you via smell better. Not even Tinks Fox Urine and cut through sweaty B.O. And if you do kill something, it is usually tick and chigger infested....

Is he living off the land, deep in the woods or is he going out by day and going back to a cabin at night? I find the idea of going deep in the woods & living off the land for a few weeks very appealing. Must be the sense of isolation i'd get.

no.. he is out in the wilderness by himself. He comes back once a week for socks and food.

That shit is insane.. if it was me I would be coming back just to reload on acid. It would be a big halucnigenic fantasy for me.
