I need vacation advice

Okay, my friend and some other people are going to Vegas in August. I was supposed to go to, but couldn't afford it. I recently came into a little coinage and was thinking of maybe still going to Vegas. It will still be a little more then I want to spend though.

Or I could rent a car and drive down to South Padre Island and stay for a few days on the beach and chill. It will be cheaper and I absolutely love the ocean. I could get a hotel room for half the money I would spend in Vegas.

Opinions please.
 
If I were in your neck of the woods I would haul myself up Sedona, Az and the high desert for a week every few months.

I love that little town.

I love vegas, it's a pretty cheap flight, and the rooms are cheap. And the pool is almost as good as the ocean. And there are tons of hotties there. And they have craps tables. I'd say vegas.

But whatever you do, know the other option will always be there, so no worries.
 
Hmmmm, I don't know now, my friend said that there are four of them going and they got the Friend's Fly Free thing with Southwest and that is over. I would be the odd woman out. :(

I am thinking that I might just go to Padre, my boyfriend said he would see if he has some sick time and he would take off and go with me, maybe. I would still go alone or not.


These "hotties", are they male or female? I wouldn't mind staring at hotties if they were single guys. Rowr!
 
I was kinda referring to females, but where hot females are there are surely lots of men there too. and if you play percentages there have to be some good looking guys like myself there.

I think I would see plenty of hot guys on the beach here in TX too. I mean, Texas has some of the hottest men around.
 
I'm a bit biased toward Vegas there's alot of stuff going on without dropping all you money gambling. They got the hotel pools area set-up pretty sweet, hell the Hard Rock has got a true sand beach and thats where the hard body people usually like to go...plus the water is ALOT cleaner than padre. Think to yourself if you can drive to S.Padre is it a real vacation or something you might do on any long weekend?
 
monkey is right, you don't have to gamble in vegas especially in the summer. there's tons of stuff to do outside, and there's a pretty solid club/bar in vegas. I can't wait to go back.

The wife and I are heading to Vegas on July 4th for two nights. We're staying at the Venetian for the first time. In the past we (or I) have stayed at the Mirage, the Luxor, and Caesars. I'm interested to see what the Venetian will be like. The rates weren't too bad - $249 per night, but all the rooms are suites so it should be worth it.

i never had the desire to go there, but a couple girlfriends planned a trip there a couple years ago and i went...let me tell you, i'm hooked! vegas has everything...the clubs are incredible, there's tons of stuff to do during the day...gambling, sightseeing, or just sleeping off the booze from the night before by the pool, the weather is incredible, and many, many beautiful men. you won't get bored. it really is the ultimate adult playground!!!
