I need sleep

Anybody know if there is something out there I can take to help me sleep?? I am back on mids and in the middle of my cycle and can not sleep during the day! I may sleep 3-4 hours and my workouts have suffered all week. I tried Tylenol pm and others but I fell like sh#t when I wake up and still tired. I would appreciate any help.
 
melatonin worked for me for a while. then it started giving me some really bad dreams. try a search, there's a bunch of products mentioned in other threads. just type in insomnia or sleep.
 
i've heard wonderful things about ambien, and look forward to trying it.

workout when you wake up then go to work so you're tired as fuck after work and just go home and fall asleep instantly

painkillers (hydrocodone 7.5, percocet)

muscle relaxers (flexeril)

Ok here goes.......this is my EXPERT advise as I have to deal with this ALL the fucking time.
A little of biochemistry first:
If you are trying to sleep in the day......it has to be absolutly dark in the room if you have trouble sleeping.....light touching the skin & eye lids releases a hormone.....can't think of the name of it off the top of my head.......but......this hormone is designed by the body to keep you awake........we humans are not creatures of the night. Our bodies are designed hormonaly to sleep in the dark & hunt in the day. So.....make it dark in the room.....put up black paper on the windows if necessary. Next.....for your wired brain......take a box fan & put it right beside your head.....I mean right beside it and facing your face. Turn it on high. Now concentrate on the wind in your face & the noise it makes.....called white noise.......you should sleep like a baby. Try NEVER to use drugs for artificial sleep....when you use drugs that are designed to make you sleep.....you do not reach REM sleep.....you don't dream........if you don't achieve REM you don't rest......that's all there is to that. Weird huh? you can sleep........but if you don't achieve REM you don't rest. hmmmmm which means that all the necessary ingredients to speed up your healing from working out sloooooooooooow down. So don't do it. Sleep naturally or else.
P.S. Alcohol does NOT cause artificial sleep. But don't be dependent on it......it would be habit forming then.

Well I did a search for melatonin but only found 1 other post and he said it mad him feel like crap. What about this GHB my source does not offer it. I also heard that hydrocodone works great but cannot find anyone who has it. Is this stuff hard to get? I did find one guy out of mex. but I am not to sure about him.

hey bro,

what do u mean that taking durgs to help you rest is artificial sleep. And if you sleep using drugs such as ambien, zoplicone, ghb etc that you will not recover from your workots properly. Are you trying to say because im taking meds to help me sleep that I will not grow properly??

please explain your self
 
Many of the sleep studies I read indicate that the body does most of it's repair in restful sleep. Meaning REM sleep. Those same studies say that REM is not achieved on sleeping pills. That's artificial sleep. People on artificial sleep show that their bodies are messed up when an EEG is performed on the body. People that achieve natural sleep have normal EEGs. Don't take my word on it.......I just read studies.

melatonin is for people whos sleeping patterns are fucked up. It works best at resetting your internal clock so you can sleep at night and dont stay up tilll 5am cause of jet lag or somthing. Its not reallly gonna help too much. Skullcap is another herbal extract that actually mellows you out. It doesnt put you to sleep but it makes you extremly calm and relaxed so when you do actuallly lay down, it is very easy to fall asleep. I use it and like it a lot. Try to stay away from chemicals that knock you out. They DO give you rem sleep, but just arent good for your body when trying to build muscle and shit. With the exception of GHB of course.
