I know why I haven't been in the Christmas mood lately...

I went over to my new girls house to help her set up and decorate her tree. She had invited a couple people over and the wine flowed pretty freely (none for me, I'm good during the week). Anyway, as we're setting up, we'd been laughing and joking a lot, and out of no where, this guy yells

"GODDAMNIT, you're doing it all wrong!"

He was of course joking, and I lost it. I was SO right back in the Christmas spirit again.

I guess all I needed was some drunks, cussing, and (mock) tension. Not saying I had horrible holidays, but there were those elements to some degree. The rest of the night was spent in mock family arguements.

Same here...it has been 4 years since I was this bummed. At least back then I had more to look forward too from the economy. Business owners live and die with the economic tides.

The problem with christmas is it has been made into the biggest couples Holiday this side of Valentines day. Everything is geared to couples smiling and shoping, and skateing in parks together.

It is layed on really thick by madison ave. and when your comming out of a breakup or single it can be tough.

im going to work alot and spend time with my family. And try and remember what Christmas truely means.
