I just started Androgel

Vertigo

I went to my local Doc last week for a refill on my statin script and he asked me if I had taken any other drugs lately. I told him I had done some steriods earlier in the year and showed him my baseline Test (300ng/dl) values, which I just happened to have with me. He asked me how I felt while taking AAS and said I felt great. His reply was " well we better get you back on them". He wrote me a script for Androgel 5g packets and said to come back in 30 days for blood work.

I know some of you guys are using the gel and I'm looking for input or tips on it's use. I've also got some AIFM to use, but I'm wondering if I should wait the 30 days to see exactly where I'm leveling off before I start screwing with my system.

I used it for a while then told my Dr that it irritated my skin and that I couldnt remember to use it each day. He then wrote me for test cyp. It may not be as easy for other people as it was for me though. It helps to be personal friends with your Doc.

I have used Androgel on and off for years. It is a fast acting gel that goes on very neatly. It has alcohol in it, so stay away from your 'nads.

It takes about 30 days for it to saturate and produce stable testo numbers in blood panels. I've had it push my levels to over 1,000 easily. It is to be respected.

I apply it to inner thigh or lower abs. Works welll anywhere there is a muscle mass.

I can feel it hit in about 30 mins after application. I get hightened awareness and a little ear buzz ... probably blood pressure jump. If I do HGH at the same time, I make sure I'm resting for the next 90 mins.

Injections are easier, but within HRT, it's all the same.

Bio-identical topical from a compound pharm is superior. It is smoother and more stable in the system. Androgel is a bit dated now. Have your Dr give you a prescription that says:
TESTOSTERONE NATURAL 100MG/1GM CREAM
Apply 1 gram to skin once daily.

Take it to a pharm that does compounding.
(Google compound pharmacy and your state.)

I wouldn't think that the cream would be that much different than the gel. The only real negative with the gel I've noticed so far is my skin is a little dry and itchy from the alcohol matrix. I also had some tinnitus the first few days, it's gone now.

I don't suppose the urge to dry hump the neighbors cat would qualify as a side effect?

Creme and gel use different testosterones. Big difference in reaction, but not results.

At leasy lub the cat. :)

It's my understanding that all Testosterone gels, creams, and compounded matrix preparations use the same USP testosterone made from soy beans. USP testosterone is bioidentical and only the synthetic esters are variations of the original form.

testosterone is testosterone.....

Just rub it on inside thigh. 4 squirts each. and on balls if you want some giggles. Good in winter. Too messy in summer. Sweats off if you are active at all.
Jost shoot it girlie mon :worried:

hey lion you are right about the cream. The doc ordered it for my wife who is in menopause. It helps with her dryness, and increases her libido.
doc told her to rub it on her pussy after about 20 mins she's ready. I think it is 4% though.

LOL ... perhaps the rubbing itself is effective.

Lower abs or inner thighs work well.

Not true. Transdermal testosterone whether cream or gel uses the same testosterone made from yams and soy. Testosterone found in T Cyp and T eth ect is also made from soy and yams. However, an ester group is added to the moledule.

The only T that is not "bioidentical" are those specially made for oral use (first pass effect would destroy them otherwise) and injections. Once the body removes the ester group from injected T , you have bioidentical T again as well.

However, bioidentical is NOT identical to the testosterone made in the human body. The only natural non synthesized testostoreone is that which is made by the endocrine system in the human body.

So with Topical T whether gel or cream the only difference is how well it absorbs. Androgel is so expensive due to the patented topical delivery method. I have used testim, androgel, and a blended cream, and they all worked well. I prefer the cream, but your skin may work better with Testim. Another issue is where you apply the topical T. If you apply the T to areas with substantial adipose tissue, you can bring some early aromatase into the equation

So to put it another way, if you can afford the tests, the T in Testim, Androgel or the T cream produced at a local compounding pharmacy is the same chemical/molecule. However this is not exactly identical to the T produced in the human body. The T derived from yams and soy has less C13 in it, and thus is not exactly the same as natural human T.

Look into the research on how Landis was caught, and you will see that "bioidentical" is more a marketing term than it is a scientific term
