I hate gym's sales tricks...

So I called the new Premier Fitness. After a few minutes of arguing with the bitch I couldn't get a straight answer about the $49 for two months special. Like a fucking broken record she kept telling me that I had to come in and speak to a "membership coordinator". She wouldn't even put one on the fucking phone! "We'd like to invite you to our open house tonight, blah, blah, blah...". I'd like to invite you go to outside and play hide and go fuck yourself. I ended up hanging up on the bitch.

So I called the one just down the street and told her that the new one had pissed me off and that I just wanted some straight answers. She was laughing her ass off and said she gets at least one phone call a day like that... She gave me straight answers. What the fuck was so hard about that?

Regardless, I told her from the start that I wasn't coming to her fucking open house and I just wanted a straight answer. They lost an easy sale because they insisted on wasting my time and trying high pressure tactics on someone who was already resisting.

I kid you not, when I called 24hr Fitness a long time ago, I had to really really twist the guys arm (over the phone) to get him to even tell me ANY price....kept giving me the run around.
Finally, when I go there to sign up, the guy I sit with says "oh, well, the guy you talked to on the phone is new---we arent supposed to give out ANY price unfo on the phone...you have to come on here! Sell out!"" I was like "well, if he hadnt told me how much, I would not have come in here....Then they keep trying and trying to get you to buy the expensive memberships.....
I'm like "Look, I am not going to workout at a gym 25 miles away, and I dont need a pool or basketball---I JUST WANT THE GYM CLOSEST TO MY HOUSE!!!PERIOD!!"
To top that off, all the men that work there at the sales desk are whores and try to hit on every woman that walks by...........

when i was younger i was a sales rep at Golds gym, we werent allowed to tell prices over the phone EVER...but occassionaly my boss let me and only me get away with it cause i was a great BSer and could always close a deal. but he did have a point....if someone was to ask me *how much for membership* and lets say i said $60 a month soem people would be liek fuck that....cause all they see is $60.. but if they actually came into the gym, to see what we had to offer...that $60 is no longer a concern, now they are like *wow this is a nice place* and thats how u sell them by showing them the goods.

I like the attempted closing tactics that this 140 pound membership "manager" tried on me at Gold's.

I sat down and let him do his thang.

I then interrupted and mention that I work for _____ and I was eligible for corporate rates. His tune changed a little and check out what his closing pitch was.

You know, X, if you join today, here's what I will do for you. You'll get a free t-shirt, a squeeze bottle, and a bumper sticker for your car. What do you think about that?

I replied with.... So, let me get this straight, if I join today, you will give me a bunch of B.S. that I don't need so I can advertise for your gym, is that it?

No, it's free stuff you can display with pride!!

I walked out and joined with another guy (at the same Gold's) later that week. No way I was giving this 140 pound pussy any commission from my sale.
