I got some cool ass wrist straps now...

I found 'em in the gym Saturday. Yeah, someone left 'em behind and I took 'em.

I ain't never bought a piece of gym gear in my life. My weightlifting belt, knee wraps and past wrist straps all had previous owners before they turned their backs and I came along. The Lost And Found bucket in the gym is my best friend.

Anyway, back to these cool ass straps, I am so excited now. Cause for one thing, I FINALLY have matching straps. In the six years I have spent in gyms, my straps have always been different brands/colors. I don't know why some motherfuckers just can't lose two of 'em at the same time. Be awful convenient for me. Sometimes I have one white strap, and one black one. Cause I ain't for nothing gonna be known for stealing an ugly ass red strap. I have had all brands of straps too. Including those "hook" type straps. That you strap around your wrist and then clamp the metal "hook" part onto the bar. So you can row with minimal hand grip effort. Actually, it took me three weeks to get a pair of those. I found one and had to scrouge the gym and L&F bucket on a daily basis until the other one appeared. Then first workout I had with them, I hated them. Man, they sucked. So bad, that I sold to another buddy before I left the gym that day.

But these straps now, they have rubber/foam padding on the inside (oooooooohhhhh), and they fit nice and snug around my wrists. (I wore them all the way home and practiced my strapping technique on the steering wheel). Right where they connect at the palms, instead of a long dangling strap like most, they have a 3 inch wide, 5 inch high rubber strap. Flexible too. Probably made by NASA. But you wrap it around the bar and just squeeze down.

Man, these things are the schnitzzz! I didn't have another back workout schedule until next week, but I am actually going to work back today just to try them out. After the dye on them dries. Cause I don't want nobody coming up to me in the gym and recognizing these babies.

I have some straps but I had to stop using them. My grip was becoming too weak. Best thing you can do with them is drop them somewhere and hope some other sucker picks them up.

i lost a pair of versa grips at the gym about 2 years ago.

fuckers were $25, now i'm still on the replacement pair of plain old cotton weave ones

maybe i'm just a gym priss, but i'd feel kinda nasty using someone else's straps. i'd probably have to put them through the washing machine about 10 times first.

I use to have straps that didn't match either. One black one, and one white one.

I aslo got a free pair of straps from BB.com for odering some protein. These things were the ugyest things i have ever seen. They were multi couloured neon.

I never wore them in the gym once. haha

I've lost two Valeo belts in the gym. I bet you have them both

So you'll brag about all your expensive toys yet you are a cheap ass when it comes to gym equipment?

You got your priorities all fucked up dude. I'll spend $200 on a pair of quality wrist straps before I'll buy a $200 watch (or probably more in your case) any day. Or fancy home hifi equipment and contractors or whatever you like to brag about on here.

I hope you drive an automatic......

AAP,

I have a really great pair of hook straps myself (neoprene padded and all that good stuff), and am really attached to them. In fact, if I left them at the gym and someone took them, and I ever saw them again....I'd probably wait til the dude was in the middle of a set of rows and smash him in the lower back with a 45lb plate. Yes, this is extreme...but that's how much I love my hooks. Just something to keep in mind when you're in the gym with your stolen goods.

That's the ones....

HAHA!

I talked to curling. He said as long as they didn't belong to a white baptist, I was ok about stealing them. I just hope some gay black mexican, born in the Middle East lost his straps the other day.

Rule Number One - only steal from the little people.
Rule Number Two - don't do rows.

Ok, got both of them rules covered....

Not really. All my jewelry has been gifts.

Look on the bright side. For ONCE, I am bragging about something that ONLY costs $25.
