For about 3 weeks now there has been a few individuals holding up cardboard signs claiming to be homeless, hungry or something similiar at an exit i take regularly. These guys pretty much stand in the exact spot all day long but never more than one of them at any given time. They stand on the corner of an intersection so eventually someone ends up stopped right beside them. That someone was me today so , for some unknown reason, i gave the guy 3 dollars. He told me he was trying to get back to chicago.

I think these guys have some type of scam going on. Most likely for crack. Sounds like something a white crack head would do.
I wonder how much money they make in a day ?

Yes, i always think the worst about people.

Spange'n, thats what its called when your bummin for spare change. Most likley they are hooked on smack or alcohol. Still kinda feel bad for those people though, I couldn't imagine having to live like that.

when u get off the interstate in Sweetwater exit 60 off I 75 in Tn, theres the same shit going on......ive gotten off the interstate and the same guys been standing there 9 out of 10 days....its a scam, its sad cuz i actually saw someone give him money. you can bet he dont stand out there in the heat or the weather, hes too busy living it up in some hotel somewhere .....thats shitty to me

usually when someone approaches me I will hand otu McD's or BK' coupons I keep with me for that purpose. I can't help it. I cant see a person go hungry. It would just bother me forever.

Cash will often get spent on drugs or alcohol. That really doesn't help them

his friend does it, and he was actually pretty pissed because he works 40 hours per week at a job and he said he doesn't make half as much as his friend does scamming

I took a little girl into my home whose mother has abandoned her. I really can't afford it, but the girl is a friend of my daughter and I feel sorry for her. Her dad was killed 2 years ago and her mother is a lying pos who is addicted to drugs and whoring for drugs. She dropped the girl off at my house for an indefinite stay and left no money. Biteme.
