I found a room!

woohoo.

I found myself a nice room in Leuven (Louvain) Belgium.

Those who have followed know.
I'm going to be a student there.

It's a truely wonderful town. I dont say that easily. It's beautiful historic, full of pretty and smart girls, great atmosphere.

So I signed a contract for a room in the middle of the city centre

Don't know much about Belgium but sounds like a good opportunity for you. Hey bor, post up a pic of the city sometime if you get the chance. I bet the women there are killer.

As you can see, this is one old, one Catholic fucking city.
Right now, about 50% of the population is a student. So it's practically seized by students and almost like a campus.
When I was there the other day it looked nicer. it was 32 degrees Celsius and very sunny.

Of course what's going to be really important for me is how cool the students are and the bars and pubs and the women, but i can't really use pictures to show that lol.

Anyway there is a faculty bar, where only medical students come to drink. men are going to be a minority there, med has become a women's business, I'll check it out once I moved in.

Town existed even before the Middle Ages, Max. In oldness it's like right next to rome and athens.

The University was founded in 1425.

I think van Moorsel lives in the canal area in amsterdam. Homes run about a mill there but are not very big. old style, luxurious vintage woodwork etc.

I do think there are fewer blondes in belgium than in Holland.

hehe maybe the blondes are just to stupid to enter this program ;)
 
Yeah great thread man. Good luck. Keep your head on straight though. It`s gonna be really hard to concentrate with all that shit around you.

junkies i dont know. I didn't see any (obvious) homeless people.

The room is small. Im not sure how big it is. I just walked in, concluded it was big enough to read and study and sleep and get dressed and have sex in and thats all i need.

Sounds like you have the right idea. Location comes first........which is dictated by your uni. Then just find something that meets your necessary needs. Nothing flashy needed.
 
I'm going to take a strong effort to spend as little as possible and after trying the water and seeing how much time I really need for my studies I might get a job for one or two days a week.

My parents aren't rich (anymore) and I don't want to leech off them any tiny bit more than necessary. I have to watch out not to compromise my studies though, if I fail them that will be even more expensive than not having a job.
