I don't know the difference between sweet & sour

For instance, if you gave me a piece of food and asked me if it were sweet or sour I would have no clue how to assign it.

I can taste just fine, I just never bothered as a child to learn what sweet is "supposed" to mean and what sour is "supposed" to mean.

It's kind of nice, like I'm creating my own world. I mean, words have absolutely no meaning whatsoeve until we assign it to them. So, what if we all decided to switch the current sweet and sour meanings around?
