i don't feel like having oatmeal and i ran out of egg whites... would this be ok

for breakfast?

i'm staring at my wheat thins with anticipation and i'm debating a shake

would a shake be bad for breakfast?

I just ate a Big Ole Toasted till almost burned Sesame Bagel with Peanut Butter smear....

that was my breakfast to,i ran out to tim hortons when i got to school grabbed a tea and a bagel with pb
 
I have a triple threat for breakfast everyday.

mmmmm

gonna go have one now.

then maybe get laid off - although I just got an assignment for next week... tricky....

and dizamn triple threat is a tasty breakfast

last time it was theoretical - this time is comes straight from the VP of engineering - hence the worry. the two issues are if I'm one of them, and if it is before or after christmas.

and yes - triple threat has to cause cancer, b/c it is just too good to be not bad for you
 
Smalls:

Eat some sausage, eggs, a couple of buttermilk pancakes loaded with butter and maple syrup, and a tall glass of whole milk.
 
i think it's insane for them to lay off around christmas like that. what an uncaring company... besides the other bs they are trying.

Hell I had 2 sausage and egg biscuits at 7, a shake and 2 poptarts 10 minutes ago. Hell its xmas bud, enjoy. Burger at lunch.
pizza tonight after the movie. Hell its xmas and bulking season.

whole milk is gross... and i hate snausage

i'll take bacon and add toast to that.... change the drink to orange juice and we have a deal.

and yes i can see you are trying to fatten me up. trust me, i've tried fast food meals on a daily basis and not even that works. i just have a really fast metabolism.

profit doesn't come from caring. it is the board of directors that are doing it - they just want to see money - they care about nothing else.

just as well nobody here knows who's on the board. well, I know one of them

he was adding more protein and fat, and you take them out and add carbs.
adding carbs won't add muscle - but it will give you some energy, a nice solid insulin crash, and help put on fat.

mmmmm, carbs.
 
yeah profit shmofit... that crap is unacceptable at xmas.

carbs don't affect me... nothing makes me fat. it's just a fact i've learned to accept.

If you arent growing, you just arent eating enough.

I used to think the same way as you.....I would eat what I thought was alot and would never get past 180lb (at 6'2" that is kinda skinny). It took 6500 calories a day from whole food to make me gain anything. Most of that came from Pasta.....1kilo dry weight of pasta a day :) I couldnt replace it with fat or shakes without losing weight either.

Just accepting that you cant gain weight is taking the easy way out.....

ok...but i thought u were supposed to be eating lots of carbs in bulking, quaffing down pasta and all that

plus insulin is anabolic-ish

insuling shuttles nutrients to the muscles. and to fat. mmmm. fat.

and yes, carbs make you fat - but generally speaking, really, an excess of calories is what makes you fat - but carbs bring on the insulin.

you need carbs for normal brain function as well as energy (via liver glycogen).

you will felt spent and empty, deflated - without the carbs.

so when trying to train to get big - you need them.

when cutting, drop most of them.

also, if you have significant estrogen levels, then carbs will incarese the water retention under your skin.

no i'm not taking the easy way out dutch... but i totally hear you.

i'm trying to take in 120g of protein a day. i did gain muscle mass in the summer... and i was up to 112 and then school hit, i couldn't manage my stress and dropped the workouts (yeah that makes no sense at all i know i should have kept it off to keep the stress at bay). anyway so then i lost weight... but i'm going to make sure that that doesn't happen again. 5lbs on my frame does make a huge difference.

PUHLEESE..thats like hearing the fat mofos complaining about how its impossible for them to loose weight..its BULL-SHIT. just eat more, be more systematic with your eating. make more of an effort. then you WILL put on weight..no question about it.
 
i was putting on mass before and i will again... it just doesn't happen that quickly so this time i'll likely up the protein. i probably wasn't getting enough before as it was.
 
to add mass its ok to add protein..but carbs is the essential thing when it comes to massgaining. bring on the carbs..oatmeal, yams, brown rice, pasta, wholegrain bread, fruits, vegetables..eat em all

I've never even seen a full body picture of you, so please don't take my post as an insult. I just get a kick out of the way people obsess sometimes about every meal. Don't get me wrong, I've done it myself when trying to cut up, but I still like to give you guys a little bit of good-natured grief. :D
