So me and my brother are heading over to go check out a new house for sale. We are driving though a small neighborhood where I used to live when a black unmarked car blows through a stop sign in front of me and nearly hits me at an intersection where I did not have a stop sign.
I get pissed and pull up tight behind the guy and tail him through the neighborhood deciding how I am going to approach the prick. He darts sharply off into a small driveway and reverses the situation by pulling up right behind me. He is waving his hands in the air and looking at me as if I just killed his family. I see that he is trying to pull ahead to cut me off, but I maneuver so that he cant make it by (this is a small neighborhood, two way single lane). He gets even more upset and I see that in about 10 seconds I am going to hit a stop sign in a pretty busy area of the neighborhood. I get back on my side of the road and get ready to stop until I see him getting ready to make the pass and block again... I run the sign and block him off by pulling in front of another car that is going through the intersection.
Anyway, he catches up with me... throws a blue light up on the dash and proceeds to reach into his shirt and pull out a badge on a chain. At this point I looked at my brother and he said "just drive". I said forget that, I am not going to jail for this and I pulled over...about 3 blocks later.
The guy stops in the middle of the road and gets out screaming at the top of his lungs "What the fuck are you doing?" "put the keys on the roof and give me your license".
I couldn't help but laugh a bit, but I did what he said nonetheless. I looked at him and said officer you ran the stop sign and gave me the finger, I wanted to know what your problem was. He said "I know what I did, and I didn't give you the finger". Immediately calming down he said you don't follow people like that in this neighborhood. I said I know, I live here, and my cousin was paralyzed at that same intersection 2 year ago. he said "Well, I'm sorry" gave me my license (that he simply looked at, but didn't run), got in his car and drove away.
I just figured I would share that odd story with you all. Also, I dont recommend running stop signs or following people. This is an old story that I decided to dig up as I saw something that reminded me of the situation.
