the Passions of the Christ the other day, but havent had time to watch it this weekend.....but i plan on it tomorrow:)

um
ok

but my 13 year old has friends telling him they cried when they watched it....it must be a strong movie for 13 year old boys to admit to crying

Poor attempt at humor.

I heard a lot of people were shocked at how violent it was. I think most of the people who went to see it are older, and don't go to many violent movies, or horror movies, so when the first taste of it they get is being done to Jesus they're even more shocked. I don't think a lot of 13 year olds are used to the slow torture type violence as opposed to the guns and big bombs. I'm not saying it isn't a strong movie, but I think that may be partly the cause of it; however, the other of course if that they see someone they're raised to admire being disgraced in such a manner.

Or, what he went thru to help them? I know alot of u arent religious but i do believe in God and i do believe Jesus died for our sins......and maybe this will help them realize exactly what he did go thru and all the pain and torture, to help them

kinda like when my 11 year old was 3 or 4, he kept getting out of his booster seat and i would smack his legs and say BRANDON get in that seat, you could go thru the windshield if i have a wreck....but he wouldnt listen

i let him watch the movie"dead calm" to show him the scene where the baby got out of the carseat and the mom hit the median thing in the road and the baby went thru the windshield and died

he never did that again. he didnt understand what i was saying but when he saw WHAT i meant when i said it, it scared him

SK, I believe in God and Jesus also. I'm Roman Catholic, but am very private about my faith along with other things in my life. I don't try to force it on anyone, and won't accept it being forced on me. Not saying you are so please don't take it that way. I'm stationed in NC which being the Bible Belt has those damn people outside of Walmart bugging me to convert. The worst is when the ones who are allowed on base walk around the barracks looking for people to convert. I understand they're peacefully trying to recruit people, but they need to understand that in my old neighborhood if someone is coming near you when you're trying to get in your car, then it's a sure way to get an ass beating.
