Hypothetical question.

If twin bodybuilders started cutting today what would be the difference in how they both looked after 16 weeks?

They eat the same food, same calories etc…and have the same training & sleep schedule.

ONLY Difference is:
Twin 1 eats 3 square meals a day
Twin 2 eats 6x a day.

Remember ALL things are equal except number of meals.

? What do you suppose the difference in body fat % would be at the end of the 16 weeks?

I think while cutting the one with more frequent meals would do best

if just in cruiser mode or a low bulker, they would be close.

I am an endomorph so I just know the above holds true for me, maybe not for Ectomorphs and leaner BBers
 
I'm sure we all agree the one eating 6x would be leaner but by how much?
I have no idea because I have not experimented on myself with 3x vs 6x but I'm hoping some EF'rs have tried it both ways.

Otherwise they are all eating 6-8x a day just because Bill Phillips told them to LOL.
 
3 square meals and a few shakes is PLENTY!

IME

most dont have the luxury to stop and prepare and eat 6 times a day, its just too much.

if you can manage it great! if you cant then the world isnt going to end
 
i wouldnt think all that much...maybe by .5% if they are going under 8 if they were getting down to low teens BF i think the difference might be more noticeable
 
3 ginormous calorie meals to equal 6 nicely spread out calories... i'd bet on the 6 meal twin being leaner as long as they were cutting calories range for their size, blah blah, yadda yadda, ect :)

Difference in BF% ... no fawkin' clue. Sounds like a cool experiment though.
 
If your competing in a bodybuilding contest 1/2% bodyfat can make the difference between 1st and last place.
IMO I think you absorb more nutrients feeding 6 times daily than you would 3. That means more muscle growth potential, and more strength potential usable in a powerlifting meet.
Just my theory.
 
I think the 5-6 meals is really for your blood sugar to stay stable.

when you are dieting normally you are cutting your cals and that means hunger.

stable blood sugar = less hunger = better dieter = happy dieter

my .02

though i think the difference would be small otherwise just for sanity really.
 
Twin 2 would fair better. Keeps his metobalism going with the six meals. Breaks it up into smaller meals that is digested easier and not as much is wasted.
