Hushmail Deactivating account?

I recently tried to sign into hushmail email and they have deactivated it. . . So I suggest ppl that are using there SAFE mail to be cautious. . .

If you don't pay for it, you have to stay on top of it to keep it alive. I hit mine every Sunday. Making it a habit that way helps.

If you don't trust Hush, get a copy of GPG and learn to use it -- Hushmail is in many ways a crutch.

But most of all, don't ever forget that a chain is only as strong as the weakest link, and you are at the mercy of the worst in every person you deal with. You can be betrayed by greed, cowardice, laziness, or stupidity, singly or in combination.

You can also be burned by someone who thinks he's "doing the right thing," which is often worse.

They make it very clear that if you don't log in for 3 weeks the DE-ACTIVATE the account. What exactly does this have to do with AAS anyhow? Please lock this thread.

Oh, PhillyPA1 again? An anonymity service is not going to do you a damn bit of good. You were banned for sourcing in PMs -- which is a really good example of what I described above. Anybody stupid enough to do that is going to fink on you, get himself banned, and take you with him.

(Of course now some other S.O.B. is going to say SEE? THEY READ YOUR PM'S! Completely ignoring that I just told you why that isn't even necessary.)

I log in every few days, They deactivated it for a purpose it says it when i try to sign in and it lists 3 reasons why they might have, i aint ignorant enough to let it run out i had that happen once

GPG = GNU Privacy Guard. PGP went commercial. GNU is still free and you can get the source code for it, like the original.

Not that I expect folks here to read the source code, but it's the principle of the thing.

Might want to take another look at those three reasons, then.

It sounds as though someone has jumped to erroneous conclusions after misinterpreting the reason you might have been in touch with certain people, and you might want to take steps to make sure that doesn't blown out of proportion.
