Hundreds being deported in LA

I especially love this part:

"Hundreds of illegal immigrants arrested over the past week in one of the biggest U.S. stings have been deported, but some are being held for possible criminal prosecution.

More than half of those arrested in the sweeps were already in jail and are being turned over to federal authorities as their sentences expire, an ICE official said."

Over half were already in jail for various crimes. Tell me again how all these illegals contribute so much to our economy and are not a drain on taxpayers? With the construction of new prisons?

They increase Toll Brothers bottom line by about 15% per annum.

I live close to the border - you can see Mexico from my house. (not towns - just countryside) The Coronado National Forrest. there was a big wooptie on the news yesterday about an illegal they found in the Forrest. She had crossed the mountain by herself and broken her arm along the way somewhere. They took her by helicopter to the hospital. She'll stay there for free for a couple of days before they transport her back to Mexico again. oi. Who do you think pays for that?

short one, ever see anyone?

yep.

we were out on our quads last year - ripping around in the mountains. I found an old road and we took it back toward the hwy. (this was near Tombstone) there was a woman walking along the road. she flagged me down, so we stopped. It was over 4th of July weekend and she was dressed all in black - with a black hood to cover her head. She spoke not a word of english.

I don't speak spanish, and none of the people with me did, either. I think she wanted a ride, but I didn't give her one. We left her were we found her.

Now - before I get flamed for leaving an illegal in the desert:

It is against the law to transport an illegal immigrant, no matter what mode of transportation you use. It's a federal offense. About a mile up the road, there was a border patrol vehicle, anway - so I'm sure they found her. I didn't stop to tell them she was there.

Mexicans are Americans in my book. they've been in our country and in our armies just as long or longer than any of us. there are other immigrants to be much more concerned about.

come here and live for a while.

Drug smugglers are the ones you need to watch out for around here in AZ.

If you come across a pack of them you'll sooner get killed before they let you go.

There's trails used by them, you can tell. They're littered with trash and shit.

the trash makes me sick. people crossing the boarder leave miles and miles of trash - dirty diapers, clothing, empty water jugs, food wrappers, used toilet paper. yuck. it totally fucks up the landscape.

I go out on camping/hiking/quad trips every year. I take great care NOT to leave a single scrap of garbage, so it irritates the hell out of me when I see all that trash.

• About 2 million undocumented aliens in Los Angeles County alone are crowding emergency rooms because they can't afford to see a doctor.

• In 2004, Los Angeles County spent $340 million to treat the uninsured; that's roughly $1,000 for every taxpayer.

• Mexican immigrants hoping to cross the Mexico-U.S. border can use an illustrated guide to help them break U.S. immigration laws and live in the United States illegally. The 32-page booklet, free with popular comic books and advertised at bus stations and government offices south of the border, comes courtesy of the Mexican government.

• In Los Angeles, 95 percent of all outstanding warrants for homicide (which total 1,200 to 1,500) target illegal aliens. Up to two-thirds of all fugitive felony warrants (17,000) are for illegal aliens.

Big deal since there are hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants there. Thats like me saying I just killed hundred of thousands of micrscopic bacteria on my arm by scrubbing with alcohol when there are millions and millions of them on my body. Well maybe not mine but everybody elses! :p

Another reason to put land mines along the border. If you don't live in Calif. you have no idea the impact from illegal immigrants. This idea that this is their land, well tough. Enter legally, assimilate to the American culture and learn the f'ing language! Rant over..

Peace
