Got an unopened bottle...does it need to be in the fridge ?...I know once it's opened it does, but do not know otherwise....Thanks in advance

Define opened mine are multi use vials and were sent in a package, with a gel Ice pack to keep them cold, They are also refrigerated when I buy at pharmacy. They say keep refrigerated on the box.I'll inquire with my pharmacist today about humalog, since i am picking up my script, you got my curiosity up bro.

dude, i am a diabetic and have been using humalog for at least 4 years. it need to be refridgerated regardless if it is opened or not!!! it will denature the insulin if it gets too hot.

I have had diabetes for 22 years. I keep mine refrigerated but after I open it I just leave it out. I go through a bottle of humalog in about 8-10 days though. I have never had any problems with it losing potency by doing this. I don't think room temperature hurts it that bad.

Yes it will...But it usually takes a month or so...A nurse friend of mine told me...He said it is still fine...Hopefully

well i only 19 so i definatly have not had diabetes for 22 years. closer to 15.
do you use a 10mL vial?
room temp tends to be fine but why push it?

That's just the way I have done it since I was 4 years old and I don't see the point in changing it since I have always had very good control. I guess I could keep it in the refrigerator the entire time to be safe. I have just gotten use to leaving it out and I don't want to have to worry about trying to find a refrigerator everywhere I go.

According to pharmacy it should be refrigerated, however at temperatures of 75 and below and out of sunlight it will last for up to 30 days, this is not suggested though.
