Call it whatever you want, its a boil more aptly put medically speaking, not a cyst. Its basically an infection and the white pus is white blood cells trying to destroy the foreign object. Its a simple immune system response. Like I said, the white pus is just dead white blood cells. To treat it you must drain it and remove the cause of the immune response, the next course of treatment is to provide the patient with antibiotic course as well. Its not that unusual.
