Is the HP PhotoSmart 320 good ? The price is reasonable but I was wondering if there's a difference between CompactFlash card (HP) and SmartMedia (FujiFilm). Thanks.

http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/HP/hp_320.asp they dont rate it very high. The HP camera's arent bad but i have been hearing some horror stories lately about them mysteriously just not working anymore. If your looking for value and good quality i would say the new kodaks are the best bang for the buck. And im not sure the difference between compactflash and smartmedia, seems like the same thing to me with a different brand name.

Great site for camera reviews and other Digi stuff..
They did not rate the 320 but some good infor on the various cards HERE

Look at the Olympus, Kodak, Sony, Nikon for quality and optics

WOW ! Great shot from the above site..

I see... for $200 bucks you can now get a 2 megapixel cam or maybe 2.1 or so, but I would check on ebay, crazyeddies.com, or digitalcity.com.

I am probably going to sell my 3.3 mp sony and upgrade to a 5.0, but I can't let it go for 2 bills...

is there really such a big difference between 2 MP and 3.3 ? Also how many photos can you take using the highest resolution with 2 MP and 16 MB of memory ?

IMO, Spend around $400 and get a 3.3 because there is a big difference, especially when you print them or compare them to a
film camera's pictures. 64 Meg cards are so cheap that that would be the minimum to use.

With 3 mp and up....
Less grainy
Better detail
Better color capture

Again, If you just want pictures to sent to friends and are not concerned with the quality, get a 2 mp..

The above site has actual samples from the different cameras under the pull down menu for each one. Look and see the difference between 2 and 3 MP...

My 3.3 sony DSP-1 is SO much better than my previous Kodak 2.0 I can take and print pics from my printer that you cannot tell from a SLR pic.

I definetely think the extra megs are worth the money....

If you can't afford one now, save a little for a 3 or greater.

I recently saw some great deals..I'll look araound a little for you and post some links.

That's the step up from the 2 mp one I reccomended above.
Nice camera, lens and functions...

I have the next step up, the Olympus Camedia C3000 Zoom and love it.
The programmed Modes are good for beginners shooting at Night, closeup etc.

Great deal
