How would you interpret this?

When looking at a personals ad I come across a girl who lists her body type as "fit". In her ad it says she considers herself to be quite fit for a person her size. What the hell does that mean? She's only 5'4", so do you think she's a whale or what?

It could mean she's sporty but bulky, as in a jocky muscly female type, as opposed to model looks, ie sporty BUT not a low bf%. Think of the girls on your high school field hockey or basketball team...

Just based on what havoc says you have got to get that on video! Meet up with her and take a nice digi-8 camcorder with you.

i think it would depend on how honest she's being with herself and also what her definition of fit is. i would describe myself as fit, but i by no means would hold myself in the same category as say, spatts, kronkette, bmom, or voodoo lady.....i would describe them as ripped, or on a different level of fit as i am. you'll never know until you ask her to qualify what she means by that statement.

Yeah, if I put 5'9'' 190 in a personal, it would freak some people out. If I added, "I wear the same size 10 that your skinny fat sister fits in," it would be ok. Composition is everything...you have to ask.

Unfortunately most folks don't understand this. They only relate to the scale.

1.) It's a personals ad. Thus everyone grades themselves on a scale, ask her to rate herself on a scale of 1-10 then subtract 4 points.

2.) Make sure her idea of "fit" doesn't mean, "fits into a GEO with only a few globs of KY on the hips".

3.) Short chicks, who aren't fat, rock!
