How would you handle this work situation.

First off its not me..I own my own business.

You find out that a co-worker of yours is making lets say 5-10k$ per year more than you...Youve been there the same amount of time and you have proven yourself the much harder worker.. Like its obvious to everyone. What would you do?

The sticky part is..Your boss has just done you a Huge favor by letting you work from home and yet you feel as though you deserve more money than someone who isnt half as productive....

id let it go,I got what I wanted by working from home, and I wouldnt know any of the behind the scenes shit this person may be doing which proves their worth to the company

Good point....

Would you keep it quiet and ask for a renegotiaion in 6 mos once youve proved yourself to be even more productive from home?????

that seems fair, only if your due for a raise

Your boss has the right to do with what is his what he wants for any reason that he wants to (or should have that right, anyway)

Why not do the logical (but perhaps naive) thing and just calmly inaccusingly ask him how come? Depends how well you know your boss of course.

you cant just storm into your boss's office like a 12yr old and say...Why am I not being paid what so an so is making....If my employee did that Id laugh...Youd need to approach this in a certain way...thats why im asking

I would find another job that pays 5-10K more.

The real question is how did these employees find out each others salaries ?

My guess is that the higher paid one made it known, and so deserves to be bitch slapped for causing you this grief.

Outside of that it is no ones business other than the payer and the payee what each employee is making unless there is position preference being given due to race, sex, age etc discrimination.

yup..the higher paying one did disclose this information...now how to deal with the situation now that the cat is out of the bag

If you value the lower paid employee and want them to stay or be happy,
you should talk one on one alone with them and lay out and explain your reasons for their lower pay vs mr gabby jaws.. Assuming you have good reasons.

but wouldnt you be disappointed as a boss or think it childish to be brought to your attention

Yes, this is why the boss is the boss and the employee is not..
I've had people complain to me about worse things about co-workers.

Dirty Work areas, Smell, Foul Language, Women's Flagrant Sexual Dress(from Men actually - WTF?)

Dealing with Pay and Position issues is very normal, and having it brought to your attention is better than having it stew out there silently robbing you
of productivity IMO..

I gave this advice...

Your boss is doing you a Huge favor by letting you work from home...and go to her if you think you have a strong enuough relationship and ask for a renegotiation is 6 mos after youve proven yourself a hard worker from home...Mention that It came up and is a concern but you would like the same consideration only after proving yourself..
