I don't have a link for it dress was on sale so I am guessing it was more then a few season old.
Okies. I'm assuming your dress is chocolate brown (given my monitor), so I'd go with the gold clutch and shoes plus some stunning gold drop earrings. You might even consider a small gold necklace with a sable colored gem.

I can't tell whether the dress is burgundy or plum velvet. I am guessing it is burgundy velvet?
However, yes - That is nice for NYE. The cut of the gown is classic & simple, so you can vamp up the makeup, accessories a bit. Out of the options you gave us, I would pair the dress up with the black strappy heels on the far right & the simple rectangle evening bag on the far right.
For makeup & nails: I usually like a French manicure each day but, a deep wine/ merlot would be nice for NYE on the nails. I would also do some sort of berry/ burgundy on the lips with big diamond studs, tennis bracelet & pull my hair back to accentuate the shoulders.

Yeah I feel the same way about halter tops and necklaces. I am going to go on the hunt for some nice gold chandelier earrings and bangles.

I wouldn't do a necklace on that dress either. However, the gold chandelier earrings & bangles would be really pretty.

I'm just a freak & would wear the diamond stuff though, lol. I like a lot of classic & timeless crap myself. All my friends wear the chunky custom jewelry in style now & I wear the diamond stuff each day. I'm sad, I know.

Ok here are two other pairs of black heals I have as well as two earings I picked up last night.
Also I was playing with some colours. I think I am going to do a pretty dramatic smokey eye 2 sets of false lashes and a sheer nude lip that is always my favorite thing to do.

I like the shoes on the right. I love that Copper color. I want it! I will be at the mall tomorrow and Mac is there. I need some new colors too. Hmm. Thanks! Any other color suggestions? LOL. You are the Mac queen. OH can u recommend any daily work colors for shadows?? I go dramatic and smokey when out, but like something lighter in the day. Sorry to hijack your thread a little.

I got the shoes tonight not like I need another pair of shoes but OMFG they were to sexxxy to pass up. I did get them on sale as well $109 marked down to $69. Also because they are a platform there more comfortable which is need for NYE dancing tell dawn good times.

QT - LUV your final selections. The shoes especially are yummy & you can never go wrong with platforms on a long, sleek dress. The entire combo you picked is really pretty,
My vote for polish is Black Cherry Chutney!! I had that put on my toes when getting a pedi & it is gorgeous in all lighting. It looks nice in daylight, house light, fluroescent light & in dimmer light.

Here is trial run of my make up... flash washes me out a bit but the lighting in my place sucks so I have to use the flash.

omg i love the makeup! i wish i can do my eyes like that. how long does it take you? i never have time for make up!
i think a deep pink would be even better on those lips!

Thanks I was worried my waxer had umm a little thin last time.
A smokey eye like that doesn't take me to long 10-15 minutes full face done in 30 minutes if I put on lashes well then that can be more like an extra 10 minutes but for the trial I didn't bother with lashes.
I only wear dark on the lips if I go really light on the eye make up cause the flash washes me out that is not coming out as dark as it is a deep burgundy.
You look great, you're really good at the shading

QT, VERY pretty pics! I don't know how I missed your makeup pics yesterday. I really like the makeup, eye shadow especially! You have gorgeous green eyes, work it girl!
And don't feel bad, I always look so much lighter in pics then I am in real life. I am a MAC NC 30 in winter (right now) & a NC 35 in summer when I tan & still come out really light in pics. I always tend to look like I am an NC 25 or so in pics. I know you will know what I am talking about MAC wise, LOL!

LMAO I am an NC20 or 25 that makes me a ghost in pictures. The foundation I used yesterday is actually from my kit Eve Pearl great coverage has an HD finish for sure between the flash and the foundation you can't see my two zits. I actually prefer Makeup Forever foundation especially for pictures no SPF in it so you are not even more washed out. Bonus of having blue green eyes I can play them up either way to look more blue or green.

I know what you mean. My La Prairie foundation has SPF 15 in it & always comes out wayyy lighter in pics. The color I wear is Honey Beige, which is a Eva Longoria skintone or lighter J Lo color & you can't tell from pics. I look like a pale peachy beige in pics when I am more of a medium skintone.
You look great, the colors are wonderful, one suggestion though, the actual powder or foundation you used there is a bit whiter than it should because on the top of your face/crown you can see the color clash between your skin and the very light make up base, Id use one or two lighter tone.... but in all fairness I have eyesight issues and cant rely on myself for makeup anymore, which is one of the reasons I cant use it anymore....
judging from your avatar photo, you really don't need makeup anyway, you have great eyes, lips, and brows
I used 3 diffrent foundations didn't blend the one around my hair line good enough plus I think it was two dark. I look like this before I blended ...

It did but I can't find my battery charger for my little camera so I didn't take any pics. I think my friends may have but honestly not sure if I would post any of them cause I was REALLY drunk. Have to wait and see what people have.
