how to stop spyware!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got a call from the computer shop and they said spyware crashed my internet connection and was making my pc run like shit.

how do I stop it from downloading? or fucking things up as it did

get a program called spybot. Then make sure you go into your tools/internet options/privacy/advanced options in INternet explorer, and choose to prompt for all cookies. Yes it's annoying to surf with as you have to click yes or no to every site you go to practically, but the thing is, cookies can also be spyware, so it's pretty much a must if you want to avoid most of them.

use ad-aware to clean up the computer registry and spyware cookies, then get a decent firewall like...Norton Internet Security Professional 2003, which has Antiv virus and pop up blockers built in to one easy to manage program. If you can't find a copy PM me an addy and I will drop you a copy. Check Kazza first as it should still be avail.

Ad-aware is great. But I avoid having to use it because I do my browsing with Opera, not IE. I never have a popup or some random shit installed.
