How to draw AS.

I'll be starting a cycle in the next couple of weeks, so decided to practice drawing from a cup of water just to see if I could do it right. When I changed the needle, I decided to pull back the plunger all the way. The amount of AS I had in the syringe at first read 1/2CC, but when I drew back on the plunger, it read far more. I know this is a newbie question as this is new to me. Is that just air increasing the reading? Do you just fill the syringe to the desired amount, knock out any bubbles and you're good to go, or is there more to it than that?

:newbie:

First things first. 2 seperate needles should be used. 1 to draw and 1 to inject Unless you are drawing from an amp. As far as air goes there in NO need to get out every air bubble. As a matter of fact there are some of us here that keep a small air bubble in the syringe to make sure that all of the AS is injected. Just fill the syringe to the desired amount and you are good to go.

I would definitely use two needles when drawing from an amp. Not all of us have mastered (or even know for that matter) that you can hold the amp upside-down and draw from it without it spilling out. I bet more than half the juicers on this board pot the top and jab the needle down there scrapping it on the bottom of the glass amp (hence the need to switch needles).

You can what? I never knew that you could draw from an amp upside down. I have always just scrapped the bottom, changed the needle, and injected. When you break the top, how do you keep the oil from pouring out if you turn it upside down. Dosn't make a lot of sense to me.
