How strong is the Human Heart?

In other words, how much of a beating can it take? I've looked around and tried to find specific data on this but can't. Figures such as maximum heart rate and maximum blood pressure, for how long, what short term and long term effects such things have on the heart, etc... For example, how long could a heart, considering it is a normal healthy heart, sustain a heart rate of 120BPM which is being caused by a methamphetamine. Does anyone have any links or graphs or data on danger zones and the limitations of the human heart? Thanks!

I'm not asking this because of drugs at all, that was just an example I came up with. I'm asking honestly because I'm on a cycle right now and my heart rate and BP are high and as I lay in bed at night, I wonder how is this effecting my heart and how long can my heart take such a thing? Its probably a lot of me being paranoid but I just needed some info.

Bro, I think your thinking about it too much. Just get it off your mind bro. I would watch the BP, just check everynow and then, other then that you should be good.

Ur only on 500mg Sust correct??

you wont find the info you are looking for in a study. its not like they do studies and wait for the heart to explode. you could try looking for studies on heart rate, cardiac output and the effect on cardiac tissue and try to extrapolate an answer from there, but thats about it

when you think about it such a study would be useless. if a practitioner sees blood pressure/output/heart rate outside of the norm, he acts by bringing it back down immediately...the rest is moot

cheers

If it is only up when on a cycle, I don't worry, if it countinues see a cardiologist.
Mine was elevated for over a year on and off gear, now on medication, and bp normal all the time.

Thanks for all the replys. And yes Gorilla I'm just on 500 sust right now. This is my first cycle so I guess I'm just not used to all of this. You all are right I'm just focusing on it too much. I bought some taurine which I'll be taking now and R-ALA as well with some cardio. Thanks for all the info everyone!

Bulldog I'm doing 30 minutes on the nautilus 4 to 5 times per week. I can't use the treadmill to run anymore because of shin splints. My legs are so tight and puffed out that 3 minutes into running, my shins stop me dead. My heart rate sitting down is around 80 BPM. When I stand up, it goes to about 90 BPM.

That heart rate isn't too bad. And it'll be even lower when you're laying down. So I wouldn't worry too much. I'd just say to do some higher intensity cardio, it's tough getting the heart rate up on anything besides the treadmill...but maybe try doing some sprints? Or just kick it up a notch on what you're doing. Even if you can only go 20 minutes, just get that HR up a little higer than what you're used to...and it should start coming down at rest.

But seriously, you shouldn't even be worried about it. It's just a transient change, when you come off your cycle it should come back to normal...if not, head to the doc.

THE WORST EFFECT OF HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE IS AN ENLARGED HEART! YOUR HEART WILL DEVELOP MORE OF ITS MYOCARDIUM MUSCLE TISSUE AND EVENTUALLY BECOME STRONGER THUS MAKEING IT REQUIRE MORE EFFORT TO PUMP...SO YOUR HEART RATE WILL THEN BE CONSTANT...THIS CONDITION IS SEEN VERY OFTEN IN OBESE PEOPLE...DONT LET THAT HIGH bp GO ON 2 LONG NEVER KNOW HOW YOUR HEART WILL REACT... :worried:
