I cant tell if that would work or not. Have you tried this?
Id consider it but I lose mass quickly if I dont lift or eat much. Thats the only reason Id be hesitant of this approach.
Would you say its more effective than CKD?
More effective? Well, no and yes lol
I made the switch to IF not too long ago myself so I'm still a newb. I can say it's the best thing I've ever done in terms of simplification of my life and routine. It is very fucking convenient.
I originally dropped some water weight the first week, but my scale weight has not changed much at all. I'm down 7 pounds in a month and noticeably leaner with not a drop in strength. I would say the recomp effect is on and that's perfect for me. No big rush to get really lean, but I do intend on getting ripped to shreds and staying that way while adding lbm
I should also mention that I'm not really eating clean at all. Well, not your typical fat loss diet clean. Anytime you're eating a pound of meat with all the trimmings, it doesn't really feel like much of a diet. 300g of protein from whole food spread over three meals doesn't leave much room in the stomach.
OK, with that out of the way.... I've always used ckd's in the past when dieting. They work extremely well and I have no problem recommending them to anyone who is looking to get lean.
IF is different though. Not to sound like a cult member, but it's more about a lifestyle and less about a diet. I do not see myself deviating from this style of eating/living for a long time. Regardless of my fitness goals.
This isn't for everyone for sure Dog, but it's worth looking into objectively. I was the biggest skeptic myself until trying it and seeing what it's all about.
If anything check out the lean gains site and his most popular articles. They're good reads.
