How often do you wash the comforter on your bed?

I must have one of those that you never really have to wash. I've washed it I think 3 times in nearly four years and it doesn't smell or look dirty. However I shake any dust off that might be on it when I wash my sheets every week.

I seriously doubt mine is supposed to be washed washed. I cut the tags off and forgot whatever cleaning instructions were on it. It has a tear in a corner from the washing mashine. But I don't care, because it was expensive and I'm in no hurry to get a new one.

Every 2 months because it's such a hassle. It's too big for the apt washers so I have to trek somewhere and do it. It could use it every other week because it's always covered in cat hair. I don't sleep against it so only the dog and cat ever touch it but they're on it every day.
