How much sleep you get per night?

I sleep weird. Sometimes i may get a couple hrs. and later on i may find myself tired in the middle of the day and sleep for 5 or 7 hrs.

Whoa! Some of you people with only 3 hours, how can you do that? I get 8 pretty consistently. If I get much less it really hinders me the next day. I can't imagine sleeping only 3 hours every night. You must drink a lot of coffee or something.

I work rotating shifts so it varies greatly. On some nights I can get a solid 8+ hours, when I'm working nights and trying to sleep in the daytime I am lucky to sleep for 4 hours straight.
