How Much "Hypothetical Advice" Will Attorneys Give?

I know attorneys provide defence for criminals and drug dealers all the time after they get busted. My question is, could a drug dealer go pay and get a "consultation" on what to and not to do prior to any illegal activity?


The only reason I thought of this is because I just saw Traffic again and I was wondering how the big dogs operate. I'm sure guys like that have tons of attorneys helping them, but can some random person call up a good defence attorney and ask for advice? Thanks.

i think the reason i love traffic so much is because the drug dealer wins. i fucking love the scene when catherine zeta jones says she wants to be the exclusive distributor of coke, debts forgiven, and the witness killed.

that guy in a little shack in mexico has enough power to have a government witness under 24/7 protection killed the next day.
