I know this is alot to ask but it would be great if someone could spare a little time and tell me what i should get for $100. Im going to start bulking soon for my 5x5 and i was wondering what i should get. I was trying to set the limit to spend around $100 on supplements and i will be eating about 3500 calories a day and dont have all that much time on my hands.
Well thanks alot who ever can help out and if u ever need anything i will do my best!!! :)

Multivitams
Whey Protein for After/Before Workouts
Cassein or another slow Digesting protein for nighttime.
Flax Oil
Fish Oil

If you like, Muscle Milk, is a very good shake has creatine and healthy fats wich slows digestion rate....

anyone else got any ideaS?

alright thanks man yeah im taking fish and flax oil right now dont gotta include those in my budget and i was looking at muscle milk but i heard its not all that great when u could buy so many other things and im definatly going to include whey protein and prob. some creatine

Dont forget the PWO shake. Whey + Maltrodextrin and Dextrose. That all you need Post workout.

Since Muscle Milk isnt the best in your mind, why not some Cassein + 2 scoops of all natural peanut butter.

Cassein will take long time to digest ESPECIALLY with MILK and ANPB.
That will be high protein, high EFA shake.

Get some GOOD Multivitamins. I recomend the Animal Pack as i have heard only good things about it, except the 11 pills/day combo it has.

BUT make sure its a complete mulitvitaman, not centrum, get to a vitamin shop or GNC for multivitamins, good quality.

Muscle Milk does not contain creatine.
It is, however, high in fat and saturated fat.

KIAN are you 100% sure about the no creatine? i could have sworn it had it, imma re-read the label.

Kian, also the fats in muscle milk are supposevly not stored as fat, the new muscle milk doesnt have the maltrodextrin either, maybe we are talkin about 2 different v of muslcle milk....

but i would go with kian's advice letme double check myself

CytoSport's MuscleMilk has the word 'creatine' on the label but it does not contain creatine. It contains EndoCreatine (TM) which is a precursor to creatine and is claimed, by the manufacturer, to help your own body synthesise its own creatine. Whether or not this actually works is not known but I wouldn't put much faith in it as this EndoCreatine (TM) is the fifth to last ingredient on the list -- right down there with the artificial flavours, two artificial sweeteners and chromium.

The point I made about the fat and saturated fat content was not that it is bad but that you should just be aware of it when putting together the other meals of your daily nutritional intake. Six of the eight grams of the saturated fat are MCT's.

If you are looking to spend a fixed amount of money on a bulking program, then put the money towards real foods and a high quality protein supplement and nothing else. The real foods, forming your balanced nutritional intake, will give you the vitamins and minerals that you require and the high quality protein supplement will give you additional amino acids. No further supplements are required.

AHHH i stand corrected lol. Sounds good tho, Def watch you daily fat intake if using muscle milk.

I still use my PWO of Whey +dex and mal

and my "daily" shakes are cassein w/ no fat milk, and sometimes i throw in a serving of anpb too

yeah i try to eat the best i can right now oatmeal, 12 egg whites a day, cereal (Kashi go lean), tuna, chicken, and i usually make a shake. I was thinking about getting me some weight gainer because a lot of the time its hard to cook all that stuff and i find myself rushing alot and im getting a job so its going to be much harder after that. The weight gainer i was looking at was Champion Heavyweight Gainer 900. thanks for the posts!!!

ProLab's N-Large2 would be a better choice as the fat, sugar, sodium and potassium levels are much lower than Champion's Heavyweight Gainer 900. Calorie-wise they are about equal but ProLabs protein level is 52 grams per 152 gram serving in comparison to Champion's 35 grams per 154 gram serving. Expect to pay just a bit more for N-Large2, though.
