How much fat is necessary?

If you're bulking, how much fat should be consumed/day?

I was told to keep it .25g/lb of your weight.

So if you're a 200lb guy, you'd consume 50g of fat/day

Is this right?

Keeping in mind you should have at least 2g of pro/carbs for each lb.
 
I usually go by a percentage of calories, when I'm cutting its usually 20% fat, and when I bulk its a tad higher, maybe around 25-30% (I don't keep track when bulking).

So if you are eating 3000 calories, that would be about 80-100 grams of fat. You can go way higher though. Calories are more important then the macronutrient ratios.
 
I agree with Haz.. shoot for 25-30% of your daily intake. Make sure they come from healthy sources though.. flax seed oils, olive oil, natural peanut butter, nuts, omega-3's and 6's.. try to keep any animal fats and dairy fats to a minimum.
