if it has 17g per serving and i drain the fuck out of it (squeeze it baby) how much drains out?

how bout ground sirloin? it usually has about 7g's...

well one advice i can give is, if your trying to get rid of the most fat possible start cooking the meat on a cold pan, and let the heat gradually go up. This allows the fat to break down much more efficiently and the end result is a lean (dry as leather) piece of meat.

Interesting. I never knew that. Thanks for the info.

You also may want to consider buying 96% fat free ground beef, its a little more expensive but you can tell the difference when you cook it. And like JM said it gets dry as hell

I also go with the 96% lean ground beef but I dont drain it when I use that because there is only 4 grams of fat a serving and the juice makes it great with some added salt of course. Now if I am going with a higher % of fat like say 93% lean which has 8 grams of fat a serving I squeeze the shit out of it with paper towels, but it has absolutely no taste at all and is just unbearably dry. Most stores should have 96 % lean ground beef though.

ok, well i grabbed ground beef!!! it was on sale god damnit!!! 90% of the time i use ground sirloin... but this was on fucking sale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so answer my question or click "back"

Well if one were to put saaay 25 lbs of pressure on the cooked ground beef sandwiched between two towels, exactly 1.76 grams of saturated fat will be rendered off the meat on any given 2 cm radius. so if you meat is 4 cm length/width, you will have excreted 1.76 x 8 of saturated fat. :D
