How Much Do I Have to Pay for Some Diet Help?

i'm tired of being a weak girl, I really need a life change

i've done low carb for forever, i use to only care about being thin, but now I am willing to do whatever it takes to become lean and healthy looking....

I've really been working hard on the weights and trying to learn more about lifting, but my diet is a mess. Yesterday I attempted cooking but failed and ended up eating a low carb bar for breakfast and lunch and for dinner I had a little meat, I know I couldn't have took in more than a 1,000 calories

my friend suggested ckd and I figured out what I need from Mr. X's CKD worksheet that is posted here, but I'm honestly really dont' know what to eat?

I will love you forever and ever if anybody has some suggestions or maybe a sample meal plan? Thanks in advance....btw: I am 125 pounds

I have my base diet posted on the woemn's board (my "transformation" thread)...also on the Sticky at the top of the Women's Board that I compiled has some diet info.

thank you both for the suggestions

i've been following ckd for a few days and it seems to be going well, need to up my water intake though

Can you build muscle on CKD. I know Puc (he was banned a while ago but was a fun guy) said he couldn't build muscle on CKD and others agreed with him. I dont know if that is the same across the board for all people though.

~SC~ is the only one that charges for diet advice here. the rest is free, but hard to search if you don't have plat membership.

not sure, the title of this thread was actually a joke, i was just being sarcastic, but if that is the way to go, i'm all for it

Just finished my graduate program and have had some extra time on my hands. I set up this diet/workout for my Mom and think it would work even better for some one like you (my 19 year old sister is on it and is seeing great results)..If your looking for the healthier look I wouldn't follow CKD. I feel that daily carbs (even low) are an important part of a healthy diet... Here you go

Training:
Monday-Chest, Shoulders, Tris, Abs (Optional Cardio)
Tuesday-Cardio 40+ minutes (Morning on empty stomach at 70-75% max heart rate)
Wednesday-Back, Biceps, Abs (20-30 min Post Workout Cardio)
Thursday-Cardio (same as Tuesday)
Friday-Legs, Calves, Abs (PWO Cardio)
Saturday-Cardio (sames as Tuesday and Thursday)
Sunday-Rest

Diet:
Seperation of Carbs and fats at all meals

Example:

Meal 1: 3 Egg Whites+1 Whole Egg with 1/2 cup oatmeal
Meal 2: 20g whey with 1 tbsp ANPB
Meal 3: Salmon with Sweet Potatoe (Tuna + 1/2 cup Brown Rice)
Meal 4: Salad with Chicken, Walnuts, and Olive Oil
Meal 5: 20g whey with 1 tbsp ANPB

PWO: 30 g whey (weight workouts)
Post Distance Cardio: Protein +Fat Meal
Post HIIT: Protein + Carbs

Hope this helps. Tell me what you think.

Do what you want, but I STRONGLY disagree with the notion of sep. carbs and fats...I've always (contest prep or bulking) included carbs, fats and protein in every meal........maybe its just me, but I think this is a pretty big farce........

Actually, I'm to focused on getting shredded right now. I agree with jkurz1. My mom and sister are both trying to loose weight quickly and thats why I incorporated the no carbs + fat idea into the program. Just keep the fats healthy and try to eat your carb meals earlier in the day.

Fats are more likely to be stored as bodyfat than other macronutrients and carbs increase insulin levels, helping to store them as fat. Combining the two is a bad idea. other macronutrient combos like fat/protein or protein/carbs are ok though.

Do what you want...I think its a load of crap..............like I said before...........I can get into contest mode (sub 5%) and I combine fats and carbs..............actually fats slow the absorption of some carbs which is even more of a reason......do what you want......

This is why you need to talk to a pro and not a bunch of joe blows who do this as a hobbie, you will get conflicting info all day long. Trust me, as diet is the #1 important thing in getting fit dont be unsure of what your doing..............talk to swolecat, its not that much $

Diet is also a lot of trial and error. You can follow someone else's EXACT diet and get TOTALLY different results.

You can do without paying someone, it just takes awhile to find what works for YOU. :)

I'd just follow a basic, clean diet for a few weeks, see what happens and toy with things from there. Keep track of how you feel, results, lack of results, etc.... and adjust based on what you find.

bigdho,
Just because we dont get paid for what we do doesnt mean we dont know what were talking about. Like Daisy said its trial and error more than anything. Many of the most knowledgable people on these boards dont have training certificates or degrees in fitness/nutrition.

offer your opinion instead of telling us to contact swolecat please.

thanks.

Stick with Mr. X's plans. Higher quality information and it's free. He's great about answering questions too. Let the boards be your bible... you will find answers to just about any question you could ever imagine... and many people even post their diet plans on here... you can ask them how it worked out and modify it to fit your own schedule. You will get out as much as you put into a diet... every time.

LMFAO @ higher quality information.

Remember, information is one thing. A entire tailored service is another.

Some people prefer the latter, quite a lot actually, I can guarantee you that. :)

To each his own, yes, but your opinion is just that, an opinion. In the real world, that doesn't really mean too much.

Yes ZK, you are right.

Mr. X's information is higher quality than most other regular dieters on this board

Ouch, you just bitchslapped all the other bros here who help. What about the other people here who give advice and help out others daily? I see lots of people here, day in and day out, that help. There are quite a few people on this board who give great advice, free as well.

Most of my free advice occurs at Anabolic Review, where I am resident Diet Guru. So for those who have said that I don't help unless I'm paid, I suppose you've never been to that location.

I tend to contribute and help out in forums that aren't laden w/passerbys who aren't really intersted in learning.
You want those who you teach to at least listen and try.

I agree.

I was simply stating that advice given by a regular guy (AKA MYSELF) shouldn't be taken with the same seriousness as a dietician (such as Mr. X)

Mr. X's advice will be of higher quality.

I haven't "bitchslapped" anyone. I appreciate everything I read here and I try to help when I can.

If anyone is doing the bitchslapping, it's this guy:

Nothing against you at all but Bigdho just telling someone to start paying for information without even attempting to figure things out for youself (and free) isn't good advice.

So according to bigdho the average joe blow on here knows dick.

In that case, go with the dietician's information because it's higher quality material.

That is exactly what I meant.

Just a simple misunderstanding guys. No worries. I agree with swole that what he offers is very different than what Mr. X offers. I am on these boards all the time and feel I have a solid knowledge about a lot of this shit. That being said, although I am yet to use swole's services, I plan to in the future, regardless of how much more educated I become. He knows stuff and is respected by many.

Your missing the point, its not about paying for info, its about doing it right. Dont get me wrong, there is tons of good info here, but when it comes to diets they are so case sensitive that taking random advise isnt a good idea IMO. Here is an example, In this very thred someone said that you shouldnt mix carbs and fats in each meal, the very next post someone says that is dead wrong, they got to contest form doing just that. Now you tell me who is right? To be honest you like most everyone else dont know, not because your stupid but because you havent spent years studying nutrition, developing and refining diet plans and have tried your methods on countless poeple with excellent results. All most everyones knowlage is most likely second hand from books/ mags (most of which are full of shit) or it has worked for them, either way its not case spacific. One major thing that seems to be over looked is what works for one may not work for another. When you get a diet taylor made for you, its just that, taylor made for you. If you want to try trial and error and time isnt an issue then be my guest.

You guys done arguing now? The only valid point to this entire thread was this....

TRIAL AND ERROR.............

What works for Jim, may not work for Jane..............take what these guys have to say, incorporate it into your diet, and see how the results work out....if after afew years, things just arent changing, maybe you'll need to pay someone like SC, but at least try first.................LAZINESS SUCKS.

lazy or smart? I depends on how you look at it. Some people dont have years to fuck with trial and error (like me) It comes down to how serious you are and how far you want to go. If your goal is small like being ripped then trial and error is ok, but if your goal is to be 3xs your natural weight and all being muscle and your 26 and have another 50lbs of mass to go, well thats a differant story. I dont understand why this is an issue...............people spend 1000s of dollars on AAS and sups but spending a small amount on the MOST IMNPORTANT thing involved in fitness is a problem? It doesnt make sence. Is it an ego thing? to proud to say you need help?

What the hell is the rush? Is this your career? If so, then you are def. correct......if it's a hobby, shit, hopefully I have another 40 years at least................

Bro, you can get you head off of SC's lap now......lol....................eassssyyyyyyyyyy.........

Its funny what people can say when they are talking through a computer................why do you have to go there? If you are going to start that shit Im tellin your mommy!! LOL

You started it with the Mom slam................you know we bros.............

+ I'd whoop you in real life.................lol............if you dropped 50lbs.........
