how much cv before you burn muscle?

any input would be great here. i hate CV but for BP and heart health it is great.
however, i am looking to gain more size and eating 4500 claoires a day.
i am doing the epilitical trainer only 20min, 3-4 times a week.
if i upped it to 30min four times a week would i burn muscle or should i just eat 300 claories more a day? :rainbow:
 
For the sake of overall health I do cardio year round. There is not point to being a mass monster that can't walk up a flight of stairs without huffing and puffing. I would advise you to determine what your daily caloric maintenance level is, and then add 500 calories.
