What is the limit before id is required when sending $ Western Union?

its is supposed to be
but amscott and my local check cashing places are asking for id for anything above 500$ not a wu policy but their " own store policey"
fuck bay check cashing wanted my SS number and DL number so i left.
each store has its own rules i guess.if they want Id then just leaveuntill you find another place that just goes by the western union rules
