How many bulking cycles before cutting?

I'm just wondering... Should there be a limit for bulking? I see pros get really fat over the course of some time...

I know a buddy of mine is taking a year off and bulking that entire time before his next competition before he turns pro.. Is this a wise thing to do? I would like to compete in 1-2 years. I have it all planned out, and if it means that I need to become big and bulky, then shred all that bf I will.

How many constant bulking cycles are needed to gain enough mass? Would it be wise to throw in a cutting cycle in between, so you're your not overweight, and keep a moderate bf?

I know it's an odd/stupid question.. and I'm sorry for asking it. I just want to get the best possible gains before competing. Even if it means going from 15%bf to 7%.. i'll do it.

depends on the person.

just a thought here, it may be wise to do a mass cycle in the winter followed by a cutting cycle then a mass so on and so fourth. you want to solitify your gains year round and try to keep fat gains at a minimal. not only do you look better year round but your building hard dense muscle mass. oh yeah, your diet should always be balanced and relatively clean. this type of set up will also help confuse the body just in case it trys to adapt to the same routine. hope this is of some help

if being fat and bloated does not bother you then just run bulking cycles for a year or two or until you gain the mass you want then melt the fat off
